Russian Premier League club FC Rostov have completed the signing of Super Eagles winger Olakunle Olusegun from fellow league side Krasnodar, the club confirmed on their official website on Friday.
Olusegun spent last season on loan at Nizhny Novgorod, scoring five times in 26 league appearances. FC Rostov’s statement traced his career back to Danish club Fremad Amager, where he began professionally before moving into Krasnodar’s system in 2021. He made his debut for Krasnodar’s first team in the spring of 2022, and that October scored against Rostov in the ninth second of the match, a goal that stands as the fastest in Russian Premier League history.
Across his time at Krasnodar, Olusegun scored 12 goals and registered eight assists in 100 appearances. He made his international debut for Nigeria in a friendly against Russia in June 2025.
