Kun Khalifat Strengthen Squad With Enyimba, Niger Tornadoes Midfielders
The Owerri club has added four new signings as preparations continue for the 2026/27 NPFL season, following a campaign in which they narrowly avoided relegation.

Kun Khalifat of Owerri have moved to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, confirming the signings of midfielders Hogan Umoh from Enyimba and Chima Deruo from Niger Tornadoes.
The club also announced the arrival of centre back Preye Seikrowei from Bendel Insurance, along with defensive midfielder Ediri Ejogharado from Calabar Rovers, bringing the total number of confirmed new arrivals to four.
In a statement issued by the club’s media department, Kun Khalifat confirmed all four players have already completed the paperwork on their moves, saying, “the four players have signed documents for us.”
The Pride of Imolites narrowly avoided relegation from the NPFL last season, and head coach Obinna Uzoho is looking to build a squad capable of competing higher up the table in the coming campaign.
