Kano Pillars have officially unveiled Daniel Ogunmodede as their new technical adviser, presenting him at the club’s secretariat in Kano on Saturday in the presence of chairman Ahmad Musbahu Garo.
The 46 year old replaces Mohammed Babaganaru, who guided the Sai Masu Gida to safety last season after the club narrowly avoided relegation. Confirming the appointment on X, Kano Pillars described Ogunmodede as a proven tactician with a winning mentality now taking charge as the club begins preparations for the 2026/27 season.

Ogunmodede’s move comes after departing Remo Stars, the club he had guided to NPFL glory during his time in charge. In a farewell message shared publicly, he described his years there as one of the defining chapters of his career, reflecting on the sacrifice and resilience behind the club’s success. He said he was leaving with gratitude and no regrets, and wished the club continued success in producing champions and reaching new heights.
