FC Augsburg head coach Manuel Baum has confirmed that Nigerian forward Uchenna Ogundu is not yet ready to make his Bundesliga debut after his recent winter move to the German club.
The 19 year old striker, who signed with Augsburg from Alanyaspor during the January transfer window, has been training with his new teammates but was not included in the matchday squad for recent Bundesliga fixtures as Baum looks for the right moment to introduce him.
Baum praised Ogundu’s integration into the squad noting that he has already started German lessons and quickly adapted socially but stressed the club will be patient with his development before handing him competitive minutes in the Bundesliga.
