Nigerian centre-back Chibuike Nwaiwu has landed in Istanbul, Turkey, as part of the final steps in his expected transfer to Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor. The 22 year old arrived ahead of his medical tests and signing of a contract with the Black Sea-based side after the two clubs reached a principle agreement.

Nwaiwu, who most recently played for Wolfsberger AC in Austria, was greeted by Trabzonspor officials at the airport and is anticipated to complete his health checks and formalise a multi year deal soon.
