Terem Moffi and Boga Assaulted By Supporters After Nice Loss to Lorient

OGC Nice forwards Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga were physically attacked by their own fans after the club’s 3–1 defeat to FC Lorient on Sunday. The assault reportedly occurred when the team bus arrived at Nice’s training centre, where about 400 supporters had gathered to vent their frustration.

According to eyewitness accounts, supporters forcibly boarded the bus, instructed the players to disembark, and proceeded to physically assault Moffi and Boga — including punching, kicking, spitting and verbal abuse. The club’s sporting director was also reportedly targeted.

Moffi has been placed on sick leave until next Sunday for recovery, while Boga is out for at least five days. Both players have filed police complaints.

In a public statement the club condemned the violence as “unacceptable,” affirming its full support for those affected and vowing to cooperate with authorities to identify and punish the perpetrators.
