Samson Tijani, former Golden Eaglets captain, has officially signed for Czech First League side Dukla Prague on a free transfer after his contract with Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg expired. The 23 year old spent the 2024–25 season on loan at Norway’s Fredrikstad before committing to Prague.
Born in Enugu on 17 May 2002, Tijani rose through Nigeria’s youth ranks before making his senior international debut in October 2020. His formative years included spells in Austria with Salzburg and loans at Hartberg, Liefering and Wolfsberger AC, gaining experience across European competitions. Last season with Fredrikstad he added to his trophy cabinet by winning the Norwegian Cup.
