Crystal Palace have decided to release Chimaechi Eze, the younger brother of England and Crystal Palace star midfielder Eberechi Eze, after a season with the Under‑21 squad. The club confirmed they will not be renewing his contract, making him a free agent this summer.
Chimaechi, aged 22 and of Nigerian heritage, joined Palace in July 2023 after being released by Queens Park Rangers in May 2021. He spent the 2023–24 campaign playing in Premier League 2 and participated in the EFL Trophy under-21 matches, but did not break into the senior team.
