Nasarawa United captain Anas Yusuf has been officially crowned the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Goal King for the 2024/25 season. The CHAN Eagles forward netted 18 goals, including two hat-tricks, as his side battled to maintain their top-flight status.
Yusuf’s goals were pivotal, accounting for nearly half of Nasarawa United’s total of 40 league goals. His exceptional performances not only helped keep ‘The Solid Miners’ in the NPFL but also earned him the prestigious Eunisell Golden Boot and a cash prize of at least ₦3.6 million.
Veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali, 44, of Kano Pillars finished second in the scoring charts with 13 goals his final strike of the season was a sensational long-range effort against Niger Tornadoes. Ikorodu City’s Shola Adelani and Abia Warriors’ Sunday Megwo followed with 12 goals apiece, while Ayomide Cole of Ikorodu City rounded out the top five with 11 goals.
